This Weeks Eats 3.10.13

We just had a lovely weekend of eating and slothing, which we've been too busy or sick to do for a few weeks and it was soooo nice.  I even broke out of my Sunday pancake routine to make this very tasty blueberry breakfast cake.  I found it while trolling Pinterest looking for recipes to use up my wilting blueberries.

I made it on Saturday afternoon and it came in quite handy to have breakfast already done Sunday morning when I was a wee bit worse for wear after lots of good wine with our steak dinner.  Plus, it'll make for a nice breakfast treat  during the weekday grind. 

Speaking of weekday treats, I managed to find some Yumm Sauce to perk up my almost daily lunch routine of "whatever's in the fridge over brown rice from Trader Joes freezer section."



I made a homemade version I happened to see on Pinterest after hearing all the buzz about this stuff from Cafe Yumm (only in Oregon).  It was very tasty and the real deal stuff in the jar is even better, of course.  I can't wait to gobble it up this week.  Thanks to teammate Sarah for telling me where to find it and having a full on blog post about makin' Yumm Bowls!

  1. Oooh, I've heard about that Yumm sauce but never had it...I really need to take a trip to Trader Joes. Weekend splurges are always fun!
