Friday Things

Whoa, it's been a busy week of playdates, school meetings, soccer and general beginning of school year stuff.  I kinda liked doing bullet points for Friday Things last week, so I'm takin' it a step further and from now on I'm making a numbered list of all the great fun Friday things!  I know, I can feel your excitement.

1. I have got to start setting aside funds for Oiselle's Spring '14 line NOW.  This was such an exciting week for the company and I know that all of us team members are beyond proud and excited to see Sally and the crew become the first running apparel on the New York Fashion Week Runway.  Check it all out here.

And I think this is everyone's fave pic from the link above - Lauren's ABS! Yeah, her baby was born in JUNE.

I was pretty stoked to be one of the first Seattlites to give them all a round of hugs today, as I was stopping by the office!  Thanks JJ for being the social media expert you are, and finding a moment (where my daughter stopped talking) to take a picture of us.

Love my feather runfinity scarf, btw. So cozy and goes with EVERYTHING.  C'mon fall!

2. This video on an octopus camouflaging itself is INCREDIBLE.

4. Two Guys You've Never Heard of Just Released the Song of the Summer.  I just can't. even.  Tears, TEARS of laughter here.  A must see.

5. A Third Grader's List of Goals for the Year.  We can all learn a little something about goal setting from this youngster.

6.  Speaking of youngsters, Kid President's got another gem.  Mom upside down?  = WOW!

I heard this crazy Work Hard, Play Hard song on my Pandora yesterday and was all, HELL NO.  Just, NO.  Better Off Alone by Alice Deejay is a classic that should not be messed with - the song Wiz Khalifa butchered sampled.  Add this to your playlist for sure.

Happy weekend!

  1. oh man, I've done and said everything on that Friends list...down to considering the name Chandler for my kids because he will always be my favorite character. I think I need to go watch an episode now.

  3. Love your scarf!! Do you know if they sell those in retail locations? If so, where?? I want to pick one up but being a local Seattlite, I hate paying shipping. Thanks!

    1. I know for sure that Super Jock and Jill carries Oiselle, and in my 'hood - The Everyday Athlete. Not sure if they have the scarves or not, though... One nice thing about being local and ordering right from the website - orders arrive FAST ;)

  4. As always I wish I lived closer to you. Our music tastes are spot on!! Wish I could have met you while I was in Seattle!!! I think Oiselle has some kick butt gear coming out in the new year and I need to start saving some dollars. I want everything I saw. I also agree that Better Off Alone should not be messed with.:)
