If you are of the praying variety, please do send some good vibes toward Seattle Children's, and the vicinity of Chicago please. Hey, and maybe towards my left hamstring while you're at it? (LEVITY!)
OK, more levity and good internet finds this week:
- Ways to make your day better is always helpful. I might have to put a piece of bread on my dog's head..
- I love any and all Friend's trivia
- OMG, this Joe Boxer Christmas ad!
- Yeah, being 66% right-brained was not a surprise to me (well, I'm surprised that percentage wasn't higher...) fun test
- Just in case you missed it, the puppy who naps with a toddler every day.
- If you've got a turtle, time to get them a Stegosaurus cozy.
- This Jon Stewart bit is gettin' me excited to get our annual shipment of Malnatis pizza
Happy weekend, hug your loved ones close and say a wish or a prayer for those who are in need.

Oh my goodness that puppy and toddler link was the sweetest thing ever! How cute and special that relationship is:) Where was that hiking pic taken?
ReplyDeleteOn the Skyline Trail :)
DeleteAlso, so glad to hear about Colton's remission!
You are the sweetest ever.
ReplyDeleteaw, thanks for visiting to say so Emily!
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about all the tough things for you, your family, and friends right now. I'll pray to 'God.' (Sorry, that was meant to be a joke. Just putting it in quotes because you did). It sounds like you're still finding joy and comfort in the small things!
ReplyDeletethx Becky! yah, I used quotes b/c I don't mean any one 'God' in particular :)
DeleteI can identify with most of what you said about religion; I was baptized Lutheran, went to Sunday School every week through high school, but I don't know if there is a God. I consider myself Agnostic. You might look that up (or check out this graphic: http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/steps-to-instantly-make-your-day-better) I think you might identify with it.
ReplyDeleteOn a light-hearted note; my brother told me that I might be Pastafarian. If you have some time on your hands, reading that wikipedia article will probably make you smile: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster
I'll say a prayer to someone for your friend and your mom. Best wishes!
As a follow-up, I went and read Miss Zoot's post and see she identifies as agnostic (it just sounds less confusing than 'Not a gnostic"). Great read. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, loved it. I almost want to go get a turtle, simply to dress it up as a Stegosaurus!!
